Antique print (Victorian) from Owen Jones’ The Grammar of Ornament first published in 1856. With its sumptuous illustrations, its detailed survey of individual cultures it was a manifesto of design “general principles”. It inspired iconic designers such as William Morris and Frank Lloyd Wright.

This print depicts (top) panelling on the Walls of the House of Sanchez and (bottom) part of the ceiling of the Portico of the Court of the Fish Pond from Alhambra in Granada. It is in excellent condition and the colours and gold are rich.
